Candelario Mendoza, a long time resident of Colton
California, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2020 at the age of 58.
Candelario (“Candy”) is survived by his wife, Susan
(Acevedo) Mendoza; his children, Sonya Hernandez, Veronica Acevedo, Irene
Mendoza, Andrew Mendoza, and Rueben Mendoza; his brothers, James and Ritchie
Mendoza; his sisters, Patty Ortega, Josie Acevedo, and Rebecca Mendoza; and 11
grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his
parents, Santiago and Rosita (Perez) Mendoza; his brothers, Joe and Roy
Mendoza; and his sister Rosita (Mendoza) Lizarde.
Candy was born in Colton on June 17, 1962 to Santiago and
Rosita Mendoza. He worked as a painter and handyman most of his life. On
January 16, 1988 he married the love of his life, Susan Mendoza. He became
father to his 2 stepdaughters and later welcomed his daughter and 2 sons. He
loved his grandchildren and loved every moment he was able to spend with his family.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am on September 28
at Victory Outreach church in San Bernardino, followed by burial at 1:00 pm at
Hermosa Cemetery in Colton.
