Chaplin Alfonzo Jackson entered into rest August 26,
2020. The Memorial services will be held (the time) Wednesday ,
September 23, 2020 at (location) of which (Priest Name) will conduct the
services. Mask and social distancing will be observed .Chaplin Alfonzo
Jackson retired from the Navy as a Pilot after serving twenty two
years and having three tours in the Vietnam War. He was the first
black commanding officer in Augusta Georgia Composite Squadron. Chaplin
Alfonzo Jackson became a member of the famed Tuskegee Airman, Inc. at the
request of the members of the original group of Tuskegee Airman
aviators in 2002. This was the highest honor Jackson received during his
aviation career with a list of many other accomplishments.
Preceded in death is his loving sweetheart Darnella
Jackson Long and his mother Nobalie Cain and his father Alfonzo
Jackson Sr., they had eight children, two preceded in death Racheal Jones
and Steve Robinson, Survivors include his six children, Brenda Rhea,
Raymond Robinson, Sylvia Lewis, Byron Robinson,
Cecilia Lampkins and Darnella Jackson, Jr.
One sister Sharon and one brother William; twenty nine
grandchildren, fifty seven great grandchildren, nineteen great
great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles,
cousins, and friends.
