March 1930 – August 2022
Frederick (Freddie) was a retired U.S. Air Force Reservist Master Sergeant who lived in Redlands CA for more than 60 years.
He entered into rest August 22, 2022 surrounded by his family at his home. He was 92.
Freddie was born March 1930 to Francisco Venegas and Macedonia Ayala Belmudes. He was raised in
Chino CA and later moved to San Bernardo, Mentone and Redlands.
At the age of 16 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1946. He subsequently served in the Army National Guard for 3 years.
In May 1970 he enlisted in the USAF Reserves and retired in March 1990. Although he entered the Navy with no more than an 8 th grade education, he took time later in his life to attend night school to obtain his high school diploma.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Andrew and daughter-in-law Rosella and great-grandson
RayAndy Ramirez. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Sarah; his children, Cindy Cisneros (Jose),
Fredrick (Denise), Ronald (Rachel), Kathleen, Jackie Kelly (Louis) and Debbie. He is also survived by 24 grand-children, 42 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Freddie was a life-long member of American Legion Post 650 and held the position of Past Commander.
He enjoyed football, especially the Green Bay Packers. He would make bets with the family on which
team would win. Everyone knew Sunday mornings were reserved for Sunday Mass on TV. No
disruptions would keep him away from his time with God. Throughout other times he would be
watching western movies or NCIS. He enjoyed listening to jazz and swing music. We all experienced
impromptu calls from dad to check up on us. These will definitely be missed.
Mr. V, you don’t have to worry someone else now has the watch.
