Vernon “Bin” William Putney Jr. lost his valiant fight with cancer on September 6th, 2022 surrounded by his family at home in Hemet, Ca. Vern was born March 31st, 1978 in Ogdensburg, NY to Vernon Putney Sr. and Linette Robertson. He spent a majority of his life living in New York and California and traveling with his family.
Vern is predeceased in death by his older sisters Shelly French and Stacey Putney.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years Stacey and his son Wesley and doggies Maze and Apollo. Vern is also survived by his mother Linette Robertson and father Vernon Putney Sr., brothers Kenny Golesky and Jimmy Putney. Vern was also beloved by his mother and father-in-law Mary and Steven Hedtke, brothers-in-law Kevin Yackmack, Craig Mills and Luke Roina, and sisters-in-law Yahaira Mills, Kimberly Roina, and Kristin Hedtke. He was also adored by his many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered fondly by his group of asshole friends.
Vernon was a lifelong music lover and his favorite bands include Nirvana and Alice in Chains. He had a profound love of writing and a unique talent to capture the nuance in life’s trials and turn the bad into something beautiful. Vern also loved to play and watch football with his son Wesley, a true Saints fan. He was a good friend, always ready to listen and always ready to give advice and encouragement.
The funeral services for Vern will be held at Inland Memorial Harford Chapel in Hemet, Ca on Friday September 16th at 1pm. Contact Stacey for Zoom link. Reception to follow at the Putney home. Flowers can be purchased at Floral Expressions in Hemet, Ca.
