It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sophie Elias would like to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister, Tia, Nina, Friend, Sophie Elias.

Sophie was born March 9th, 1935 in Colton, California and entered into the beautiful presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 16, 2023. Sophie was greeted in Heaven by her one and only True Love, Leonard Elias. Her son Edward Elias and her Grandson Eli Elias.
Sophie is survived by her four children. Leonard (Stacey) Elias, Lillian (Henry) Andrade, Roland (Debra) Elias and Elaine (Maurice) Samperio. Sophie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of ten grandchildren and their five spouses. Seventeen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Her grandchildren would always joke with each other that they were grandma’s “favorite,” even up until the day of her passing. And that is because, she loved each and every one of us so deeply and made us feel as though we truly were her favorite when ever we were with her.
She was known by all her great grandchildren as their “GG.” She was so proud of that nickname and would gleam when they would call her. She is and always will be the matriarch of our family. All forty one of us find peace in knowing she is back in the arms of her husband, after forty three years apart. She showed us all the real meaning of true love.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to celebrate and honor the life of Sophie Elias on May 12th, at 8 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colton, California.
