Winifred "Winnie" Smyers, mother of four, passed away on April 17, 2023 at age 84. Her final moments were spent at home with family.
Winnie was known for her positive attitude, humor, compassion, and storytelling.
Winnie's family asks that she be remembered for the joy, love, and generosity she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her sister Evelyn, sons Charles (Laura), Dale (Janet) and daughter Diane, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and her beloved grand dog, Gizmo. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Claremont, CA on, June 10, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Winnie will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Riverside National Cemetery.
