Stanley Eugene Eaton, 62, of Upland, California, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2025, after a courageous 10-year battle with ALS. A celebration of life will be held on April 5, 2025, in Upland, California.
Born on July 1, 1962, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Stan was a dedicated longshoreman for 20 years at the Port of Long Beach, California. He enjoyed a variety of passions, including traveling, fishing, golfing, playing video games, spending time with family and friends, savoring delicious food, and, of course, enjoying good tequila.
Stan is survived by his parents, Vernon and Leona Eaton; his loving wife, Maryann Eaton; his daughter, Audrey Eaton; his step-sons, Ian and Emmit; his brother, Lamar Eaton; and a large extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with countless friends.
Stan will be remembered for his kindness, infectious smile, and distinctive freckles. His joy and courage, especially in the face of ALS, were an inspiration to all who knew him. He fought the disease with unparalleled strength and grace, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to ALS United of Orange County, whose support was invaluable during Stan's courageous journey.
