Born February 12, 1953 in Mexico. Came to California in 1966 and got married in 1971. She worked at Fotomat, was an aerobics instructor at Shirley's fitness center on baseline in San Bernardino, worked as a CSR at Walmart in Riverside.. and a warehouse worker at Toys "R" Us warehouse in Rialto. 

She passed after her father Angel (2009) & mother Amalia Serralta (2016). 
She is survived by her ex husband Smiley Sr., son Smiley Jr., daughter Angel (JohnJohn) Sandoval, granddaughter Janessa, four brothers Angel, Habacuc, Abel, and Nahum Serralta 
Three sisters Dora Agramont, Deborah Seuylemezian, Amalia Carlos, and many nieces and nephews. 

Services are Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery in Colton dinner following 5 to 8:30 at VFW post 6476 at 1789 N. 8th street Colton,92376

Andrew DeMasi

July 13, 1952 – March 28, 2017

Andrew Vincent DeMasi was born in Niagara Falls NY on 07/13/52 to Andrew and Florence DeMasi. He was the youngest child of four. His family moved to CA when he was 10. He graduated from Montclair High in 1970.

In 1979 he met the love of his life Rebecca and her daughter April.  They married on 09/10/83. They bought a home in Hesperia in 1985 where they resided for the next 32 years. In 1986 their daughter Christina was born.

Andrew was a painting contractor like his father and brothers. He worked on some of the most prestigious custom and historical homes in the inland empire.

Throughout Andrews’s life he had many interests including: baseball, horse racing, riding his Harley Davidson, playing guitar, and writing music. He loved the Beatles. He also enjoyed planting trees, gardening, being in the mountains and forest, and collecting antique yard art.
Andrew was a Christian and devoted family man. Surrounded by his family, the Lord called him home on 3/28/17after losing his 1 year battle with gallbladder cancer.
Andrew is survived by his wife Rebecca, his daughters April and Christina and their spouses Brandon and Eryn, his 4 grandchildren (Gavin, Gage, Gianna and Caleb), his brother Joe and Adeline DeMasi, his sister Patricia and Sam Ricotta and his sister in law Sally (Mrs. Bill DeMasi) and all of his nieces and nephews and extended family.


There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday April 29th at Calvary Chapel Bible Fellowship at 34180 Rancho California Road, Temecula Ca. 92591 at 1pm. .

Janet was born Sept 28, 1946 in Compton, California. She passed away peacefully on March 27, 2017 at Riverside Community Hospital. Janet truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was a resident of Riverside for 30 years and enjoyed spending time at their vacation home in AZ on the Colorado river. 

Janet is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mondo Chavez, her son Darren, stepson Dennis, grandchildren  Ashley, Joshua, Colinda and Beth, sisters,  Denise and Nancy , several nieces, nephews and cousins and Aunt Jill.  Janet was preceded in death by her two brothers Curtis and a Claude and her mother Audrey...

She was a loving caring person, devoted wife, mother and grandmother always thinking of others, "to know her was to love her".  Services to be held at noon at St Johns Catholic Church in Riverside followed by a gathering of family and friends ...

Tom Gerald Wahner was born March 6th, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away peacefully on March 26th 2017 at a Riverside, CA rehab center. Tom Wahner is survived by his sister Linda Wahner Shoemaker, his two sons Mark Wahner 42 of Oceanside, CA and Eric Wahner 44 of Gilroy, CA and his former spouse Bonnie Moore 74 of Corona, CA.  Tom was a loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.   Tom was a Title Officer before retirement. He loved his family, sports, and beer.  He was an exceptional athlete at Laguna Beach High School.  After high school, he joined the Navy to support his Country during the Korean War.  He will be cremated and will be spreading his ashes out to sea.  He will be missed.

Doris is survived by her daughter Arleen Arlet and her son John Gerhold and daughter-in-law Linda Gerhold. She had two grandsons Michael and Jason.

Doris was a resident of Hemet and lived at the Royal Holiday Trailer park for the past 15 years. She had a long, good life lasting just over 91 years.


There will be a memorial service at the Royal Holiday Trailer Park’s activity room on Saturday April 8th at 2PM.

Travis Allison, 51, was born in Garden Grove,CA.  He lived in Valle Vista (Hemet) for the last 10 years and was a prior resident of Sun City, CA.

Travis passed away at home.  He received his High School diploma from Lake Elsinore High.  He worked as a carpenter for 20 years before being disabled in 2006.

He was a widow, who is survived by his daughters, Alexys Allison of Michigan and Andrea F. Salazar of Idaho; his parents, Bettie and James Allison of Sun City and his brother, Jason (Tracy) Allison of Hemet.

Juan Manuel Melendez Jr

Juan Manuel Melendez Jr, 50 of Bakersfield, CA passed away on Tuesday March 14, 2017.

            He was born April 7, 1966 in Chihuahua Mexico and grew up in Bell Gardens, CA. Juan was employed at Fiber Container Inc. where he worked for 20+ years.
           
            Juan will be remembered as a hard worker, a generous and kind-hearted person that loved having the biggest parties in his neighborhood.  He always went out of his way to make family and friends feel welcomed, and he will always be missed and loved by his family that he cherished.

            Juan is proceeded in death by his sisters Sylvia and Chela.

            He is survived by his wife Raquel, loving parents Antonia and Juan Sr., beloved sister Ruth, loving daughters Marlene, Bunny (Rey), Angelene, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Stephen James Wisser passed away in Ontario, California on March 14, 2017.  Steve, the son of Barbara (Bryant) and Dale O. Wisser, was born in Ontario on April 20, 1961.  Steve spent several years in the restaurant business in Santa Barbara, CA, but lived most of his life in Ontario.  He is remembered as charming, and a good friend to many people.

Steve leaves behind a brother, Gary Wisser of Ontario, CA, and two sisters Brenda (Wisser) Morris of Garden City, KS, Donna (Adams) Collinsworth of Gilbert, AZ, six nieces, and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church, 1960 S. Euclid Ave. in Ontario. Doors open to guests at 6:00PM, and the service starts at 7:00PM.

Jerry Milholland, 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 13. He grew up in Sage, Ca. and lived the last 40 years in Winchester with his wife Mary. He retired from MWD after 27 years as a heavy equipment operator. Jerry enjoyed bowling, camping, and travel but mostly working with his tractors when not up a tree with his chainsaw. He loved his family very much and always had time for a friend, neighbor or stranger.

Gary Victor Castro

 Gary Victor Castro affectionately known as “Fizz” was born November 26, 1950 in San Bernardino Ca.  He lived in San Bernardino County until 1994 where he moved to Colorado and lived there for 20 years until the untimely passing of his 2nd wife Laura, where he eventually found his way back to California and passed away on March 13, 2017 at the home of his sister and niece, Carrie and Brittany Gillespie.

Gary worked all his life providing for his family as a warehouseman, truck driver and retail manager until he retired due to his illness requiring dialysis. 

Music, guitars and baseball were his passion, he loved blues music, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

He is survived by his fiancée Melinda O’Connor, sons, Dominic Castro and wife Laura of Cocoa Beach Fla, Chris Castro and wife Elizabeth of Highland Ca, Ryan Castro and Kyle Callahan of Lakewood Co. His daughter, Valerie Castro of Denver Co. Grandchildren, Alex and Mia Castro, Nicole Guinto and David Marucci Castro. Brothers, James Castro and wife Cynthia of Rialto Ca, Gene Castro and husband Jeffrey Rucker of San Bernardino Ca. Sisters M. Anne Grant of Ventura Ca, Lorene Whitaker and husband Cedric of Victorville Ca and Carrie Gillispie of Victorville Ca. Sister in law Maria Gomez of Menifee Ca. His first wife Martha Limones of Ocala Fla. Also numerous nephews and nieces who adored him as Uncle Fizz, Uncle Fuzz, Ricks and Goofy.

Services will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at Inland Memorial Hermosa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 900 N Meridian Ave, Colton Ca with viewing at 12:00 pm. Services to follow at 1:00 pm with continued viewing until 3:00 pm. Reception following services.

Steven Wayne Underwood

Steven Wayne Underwood, 67, went to be with his Lord and Saviour Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center in Riverside, CA.

Steve was born on December 19, 1949 in Seymour, IN to Charles and Barbara Underwood. The family moved to Westminster, CA and later to Westwood, CA where Steve graduated from Westwood High School in 1968. 

In 1969 Steve enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was stationed at Lockbourne AFB, Ohio and Osan AFB, South Korea. He received several medals including Good Conduct, National Defense, Armed Forces Expeditionary Forces, Korea Defense Services, Expert Marksman, Cold War Victory, Air Force Service, Outstanding Unit Citation, and Presidential Unit Citation. Steve proudly served his country for 4 years and received an honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant E4. 

In 1977 Steve married his loving wife, Phyllis Miesen. They were blessed with 39 years together.

Steve worked for Amtrak and retired after 32 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved friend George, an African gray parrot, fishing, working on his model train set, going to the shooting range with his buddy Mike Lee and watching his brother Dale race Sprint cars at Perris Raceway. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family whenever he could.

Steve is survived by his wife, Phyllis Underwood of Riverside, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and DJ Miller of Ingram, TX; four brothers and sister-in-laws, Randy and Sherry Underwood of Riverside, CA; Jim and Kathy Underwood of Banning, CA; Dale and Tina Underwood of Wildomar, CA; Philip and Melodee Underwood of Apple Valley, CA; sister Deborah (Underwood) Cunningham of Corona, CA; three grandchildren, Daniel Miller of Kerrville, TX; Deanne Miller of Ingram, TX; Darrin Miller and wife Courtney of Kerrville, TX; nine great-grandchildren, seven nieces, two nephews, and other relatives. 

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery.
Martha Kiss

January 1, 1940 – March 11, 2017


Martha Kathlene Kiss Warwick was born in Brentwood, NY to Louis Peter Kiss of Transylvania, Hungary and Mary Clementine Kun of Magyar Fenes, Hungary.  She was the first in her family to be born in the US (her sister being born in Tarpa, Hungary).  Her father was the Health Commissioner in Tarpa, a medic in WWI and later became a Doctor in Brentwood, NY.  Martha was never taught to speak Hungarian but at the age of 30 she took a course at Story Brook University and became fairly fluent in Hungarian.  She studied at the NY City School of Ballet and played the flute, piano and guitar. Martha was passionate about animals and was known for her family of poodles in her traveling RV.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Gregory Warwick of Poughkeepsie, NY.  She is survived by her daughter Lynn Furno, grandson, Erik Bachman, and grandchildren, Madigan Ezea, Jackson Harrison - Bachman and Dashiell Fleury - Bachman.

James Daniel “Jim” Madia lost his battle with cancer in Riverside, California on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.  He died peacefully at his home with his wife Trish and daughter Laura by his side.

Jim is survived by his wife Trish, sons James, John and Donovan, daughters Deborah Dreany, Laura and Gillian Madia and Ashley Smith, grandchildren Jennifer, Stephanie, Nicholas, Gabriella, Joseph, Leah, Matthew, Giovanni, Nico, Maya and Quentin, and great grandson Dylan.  He is predeceased by his parents, Rosario and Laura, sisters Mary and Helen, brothers Frank, Vincent and Don, and his son Vincent Patrick. 

Jim was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1944. He spent the past 25 years of his life in service to many in need of psychological counseling.  Those who have received counseling from Jim describe him as “counselor, confidant, advisor and friend”. He had a life-long interest in the rights of those suffering from mental illness in all its forms.  Jim was passionate about family, art, music, and philosophy.

Jim’s family will host a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 11, 2017 between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. at the Marriott Downtown Riverside in Salon A. This informal event is open to friends and family wishing to drop in at any time during the 3-hour celebration.

Donations can be made to the Treatment Advocacy Center in Arlington, Virginia. They provide advocacy services for people suffering with mental illness. A fund has been established in the name of James Daniel Madia:
